Versatile and dynamic, Philadelphia-based singer Amber Nicole Johnson is an avid performer specializing in Classical Voice, Opera, and popular music styles. She performed as a soloist with the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey’s presentation of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and sang for the Opening Ceremony and Young Artist Concert of the National Association of Negro Musicians’ 2022 Conference in Atlanta, Ga. Her recent operatic roles include the role of “Giulietta'' (cover) in the Delaware Valley Opera Company’s 2022 production of Les Contes d’Hoffmann and the role of “Mother” in Boheme Opera New Jersey’s 2019 production of Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors. She was a featured soloist in The Chicago Community Chorus’ performance of Beethoven’s Mass in C Major. Amber’s other credits include the roles of Madam Flora (The Medium,) La Marchande (Les mamelles de Tirésias), Mrs. Ott (Susannah,) Mother (The Consul,) Mistress of Novices and La Zia Principessa (Suor Angelica) and Suzy (La Rondine.) She is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Music in Composition and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Temple University.
