Bio

Melody Prater is a graduating senior from Wichita, KS. She is a lover of linguistics and received a Rotary International Youth Exchange Scholarship to study in Florence, Italy. She has performed with Music Theatre of Wichita and Wichita Grand Opera. In addition to winning the Schmidt Competition (Georgia), she placed in the regional NATS competition and in both MT and Classical divisions of the Hal Leonard Competition. She was featured soloist with the 2019 All-State choir. Melody is also an oboist and has played principal with Wichita Youth Symphony Wind Ensemble and Wichita State University Symphony Orchestra.
