Amy West

Amy West is a rising senior in a high school located in LaGrange, Georgia. She is a five year member of the Lafayette Ballet Company’s Senior Company, and has participated in the Nutcracker and other ballets annually since she was five. Amy has danced the roles of Katrina from Firebird, the Dew Drop Fairy from the Nutcracker, and the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz. She has also studied tap dancing for two years and jazz and contemporary for four. She has participated in drama and chorus for three years in high school and participated in multiple musicals. Some of her main roles have included Donna from Mamma Mia and the humorous role of Mrs. Brill from Mary Poppins. Amy also studies vocal technique with her teacher, Brenda Jeanne Hamilton. This year, Amy was accepted into the Georgia Governors Honors Program for dancing, but was not able to attend due to COVID-19. Amy’s goals for the future are to attend a four year university studying musical theater and continue to perform in any capacity to bring others joy through the stage.
