Ian Pathak is a classically trained young tenor from Fairfax Virginia. He is a Second year Voice Performance Major at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance and studies with tenors Scott Piper and George Shirley. Recent stage credits include Church Committee Member (U of M Opera Highway One), Servant/Courtier (U of M Opera Cendrillon), Servant (U of M Opera Don Pasquale). Ian has also competed in numerous classical and musical theatre voice competitions. His awards and honors include American Pops Orchestra's NextGen Voice Competition (Finalist), Schmidt Vocal Arts Undergraduate Competition (Semifinalist), Detroit Aria Competition (Rising Star- Winner), Classical Singer Fall Competition (Finalist) Schmidt Vocal Competition (1st Place), National Society of Arts and Letters-Winston Voice Competition (1st Place- DC Chapter). This Summer Ian will be attending the Aspen Music Festival as Studio Artist.
