Oscar Yum, 18, is a senior at Flintridge Preparatory School and will attend Northwestern University in the fall. He studies voice with Eric Lifland. He is currently a tenor in both the Young Men's Ensemble and Chorale (SATB) of the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus. Honors include: Music Center Spotlight Grand Prize Finalist (2022) and Semifinalist in Classical Voice (2021); Classical Singer Fall Competition Finalist (2021); Schmidt Vocal Competition Most Promising Sophomore Award (2021) and Finalist (2022); and California All-State Honor Choir (2022). He is an intern for Music Heals Minds, founded by opera singer, Nandani Sinha, a non-profit that provides music sessions for those suffering from Alzheimer's, dementia, and traumatic brain injury. In addition to singing, Oscar plays the violin and guitar.
