Bio

Sera was the youngest finalist in the Llangollen International Eisteddofod’s Young International Singer of the Year at the age of 18 and studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama & The Royal Academy of Music. Sera was recipient of, amongst several others; The Dolan Evans and Aneurin Bevan Prizes, The John Ireland Song Prize, Blodwen Cosslett Soprano Prize, The Maida Jones and Alfred Alexander Awards and was awarded the prestigious Sickle Foundation Award. Her roles include Ariadne for Three Bridges Opera, Lady Macbeth for Duchy Opera, Tatyana (Eugene Onegin – Tchaikovsky), Micaëla (Carmen- Bizet), Miss Wordsworth (Albert Herring – Britten); New Yorker in (L’amico Fritz - Mascagni), Piero in a staged version of Pierrot Lunaire; Anna (Sir John in Love - Vaughan Williams); Créobyle (Thaїs – Massenet); Zerlina (Don Giovanni – Mozart); Mimi & Musetta (La Bohème – Puccini); Serafina (Il Campanello – Donizetti); Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice – Gluck)
