Bio

Lithuanian-American soprano from Michigan. Kristina was born in Detroit and began taking music lessons at the age of 9. She studied saxophone. Later, Kristina studied oboe and voice at Eastern Michigan University. She completed both her her bachelor's and master's degrees at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater under the tutelage of soprano Asta Krikščiūnaitė. Kristina continues to actively perform in concerts and competitions across Europe and America while furthering her educational studies. She has sung in masterclasses with exeptional teachers such as Violeta Urmana, Tamara Novicenko, Michele Crider, Vladirmiras Purdnikovas and has performed with the M. K. Čiurlionis string quartet and the wind orchestra "Trimitas". Kristina has sung the roles of Angelica from G. Puccini's opera "Suor Angelica", Marcellina from Mozart's "La nozze di Figaro" and Monica from G.C. Menotti's "The Medium".
