Julia Pinn is a native of Morgantown, West Virginia and is studying voice at West Virginia University. She is studying vocal performance with Professor Rob Chafin and plans on graduating in May 2021. Julia's primary repertoire is classical and has performed in Mozart's Requiem as the soprano soloist with the WVU (West Virginia University) and FSU (Fairmont State University) community choirs (July 2018). She has also performed as the First Spirit in Mozart's "The Magic Flute" (January 2019), and as Cendrillon in Massenet's "Cendrillon" (January 2020). Julia has also received both her beginner and intermediate cantor certifications in liturgical music through the NPM (National Pastoral Musicians) Organization, and works as the assistant music liturgist at St. Francis de Sales in Morgantown. Julia is a member of the West Virginia ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) and has participated in the annual choirs for the past nine years at the state convention in Charleston, West Virginia. Throughout her time at WVU she has received merits in the district, regional, and national NATS ( National Association of Teachers of Singing) , including her most recent award as first place in the Eastern Region's regional competition and qualifying for nationals.
