18-year-old Aida Skaraite currently studies at Manhattan School of Music where she is getting her Bachelor of Music in vocal performance and is studying with Professor Cynthia Hoffmann. She was born into a Lithuanian family but is a native of Illinois and has had a passion for music starting from a very young age when she joined “Vyturys”, a Lithuanian church choir. Although she’s participated in many events such as Baltic Voice, Hal Leonard, Rialto Idol, and Sinfonietta Bel Canto, her biggest accomplishment was performing at Carnegie Hall. In 2018, she performed as a soloist and once again in 2020 with the Honors Performance Series.
In 2019, as a sophomore, Aida received Cinderella’s role in her high school musical Cinderella by R&H. The same year, she played a sick boy in the opera “The Happy Prince” composed by M. Williamson at Merit School of Music.
Two years ago, Aida attended the Alice S. Pfaelzer Tuition-Free Conservatory at Merit School of music for piano and voice. She continues to take private voice lessons with Rachel Olson. Aida has also been a part of masterclasses with worldwide known singers such as L.Sukis, B.Marklund, S.Stonyte, V.Prudnikovas, A. Kriksciunaite and voice coach R. Lampsatis.
