The Romanian soprano Alexandra Peica has just stepped into the mature operatic world and is at the beginning of her young artist career. She began her musical studies at 14 years old in Timișoara. In her second year she participated in an international competition in Pančevo (Serbia), where she obtained the first place, and in the same year sang the soprano solo in Vivaldi’s Gloria, with the orchestra and choir of the Philharmonic in Timișoara.
She started her Bachelors in Bucharest, in 2016, under the guidance of Mrs. Heliana Drăgușin, and moved in England in 2017, where she finalised her studies at the University of Southampton, guided by Prof. Juliet Brown and Prof. Francesco Izzo. Miss Peica is currently a master student at ZHdK (Switzerland) with Prof. Lina Maria Åkerlund.
Miss Peica's voice was praised for the unique timbre and for the mature approach of the pieces in her repertoire.
