Julia Ruddy

Julia Ruddy, a soprano from Lawrence, Kansas, is a second-year undergraduate at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music where she is studying Vocal Arts and Opera under the tutelage of Professor Derrick Lawrence. She is also a member of the USC Chamber Singers and the USC Thornton Chamber Opera’s (TCO) executive board. This summer, Ruddy was a semifinalist at the Classical Singer Competition in Washington D.C. and attended Opera, Viva! in Verona, Italy, where she performed in opera and musical theater scenes concerts under the direction of a variety of well-respected instructors. Additionally, she is a member of the LA Opera College Advisory Committee. Later this year, she will be singing numerous roles in the TCO Duets Recital as well as the TCO Spring Cabaret and will be a member of the ensemble in USC Opera’s Spring production of Our Town.
