Conor McNamara is a senior vocal performance student of Professor Mark Aliapoulios at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where he is an officer in the Concert Choir and featured tenor soloist in Opera Workshop, Early Music Ensemble, Pop/Rock Ensemble, and Oratorio Chorus, and PBA Theatre.
Conor performed with Palm Beach Opera Chorus in recent productions of Bizet's Carmen (2022), Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore (2022), Puccini's Turandot (2020) and Strauss II's Die Fledermaus (2019) and was the tenor soloist in Puccini’s Gloria (2019) with the Choral Society of the Palm Beaches. He is honored to be a current Rinker Scholar and Schmidt foundation scholarship recipient. He also enjoys teaching voice and theory to students in South Florida.
As a young student in Texas, Conor excelled in both classical and musical theater endeavors, placing 1st in International Golden Voices with winners recital at Carnegie Hall, 1st and 2nd in the state Texas Music Teacher’s Association Vocal Competitions, and 3rd in the national MTNA Vocal Contest and Schmidt Vocal Competition. He also performed in shows with Dallas Children’s Theater, McKinney Summer Musicals, and North Texas Performing Arts. His favorite roles included Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, earning him the theater’s Best Dramatic Actor award and nominations with Broadway World Dallas.
