Emma Freauff is a Soprano with a Bachelor’s of Arts from Oregon State University, where she studied with voice teacher Amy Hansen and enjoyed assistant directing and singing in the OSU Opera Workshop Program. She currently studies with voice teacher Erin McCarthy and vocal coach Richard Bower. Emma will be singing the role of Gretel in an upcoming production of Humperdinck’s Hansel und Gretel, directed by Luke Housner. Past roles include Lisette in Oregon State University’s La Rondine, 1st Knabe in Aquilon Music Festival’s Die Zauberflöte, 2nd Knabe in Luke Housner’s Die Zauberflöte in Austin, Texas, and ensemble in Oregon State University’s Our Town. She has also been involved in various scenes programs, singing roles such as Susanna from Le Nozze di Figaro, Maria from West Side Story, Dot from Sunday In The Park With George, and Mabel from Pirates of Penzance. Emma is excited to pursue a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at the University of California Irvine starting in the Fall of 2020.
