Bio

Mezzo-Soprano, Mary Ryan is a rising senior vocal performance (BA) at the Catholic University of America. She is studying under the direction of Dr. Seyoung Jeong. Recent credits include Pehorwood's Too Many Sopranos (Just Jeanette) and Puccini's Suor Angelica (Tourierre). She won second place in the National Association of Teachers for Singing competition in March '19 for second year college women. She has been seen in various performances, some televised, with the CUA Chamber Choir. She plays baritone sax in the CUA Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. Mary was selected to play Flora in La Musica Lirica's production of La traviata this summer, but will no longer be able to participate. Mary is preparing for graduate school auditions and looking forward to what the future holds.
