Bio

Zúñiga is an emerging professional soprano from Chicago. She has performed as Venus in Daniel Purcell’s The Judgment of Paris, The Governess in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, Damigella in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, and Nella in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi with DePaul Opera Theater. She has been a featured soloist in Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, and J. S. Bach’s Magnificat. Zúñiga is the 2017 recipient of the Lynne Harvey Foundation Scholarship in honor of her sister Virginia Cooper Maier from the Musicians Club of Women. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from DePaul School of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Northeastern Illinois University.
