Samantha graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Master's of Music degree in 2020. During her studies, she was a graduate assistant for two years where her duties included coaching undergraduates, covering courses, and assistant-directing the opera in 2019. Prior to her graduate studies, Samantha graduated from the University of Montevallo where she obtained a double-concentration Bachelor of Music degree in Choral Music Education and Vocal Performance. She was a finalist in the Madame Rose Palmai- Tenser Competition hosted by Mobile Opera in 2016, 2019, and 2020. After graduating with her Bachelor’s, Samantha received certification for Level I of the Kodály Method in Birmingham and taught elementary music for a year. She also taught at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church’s Conservatory of the Arts from 2013 to 2018 where she led rehearsals for children from kindergarten to fifth grade in Bells, Drama, and Orff Instruction. While at the Conservatory, Samantha taught private voice and ukulele lessons while assisting with the Children’s Choir for VHUMC. She is currently an instructor of Applied Voice- Elective, Diction for Singers, and Introduction to Music at the University of South Alabama.
