Bio

Madeleine Wiegers, soprano, is a student of Lisa Saffer at The New England Conservatory of Music. She premiered the opera Bridesmaids, by Scott B. Joiner, in the role of Lydia in 2018 at the Vienna Summer Music Festival. While in Vienna, she connected with renowned vocal coach Daniel Sarge, and returned to continue private studies with him in preparation for conservatory auditions. Now at NEC, she is a member of the NEC Chamber Singers and has played the role of Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors. Madeleine attended Opera Viva! in Verona, Italy, at the age of 16, where she sang as Donna Elvira in the Don Giovanni quartet.
