Emma Davis is a 22-year-old soprano from Des Moines, IA. She is currently a senior at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul (UNW) as a triple major studying Vocal Performance, Music Composition, and Media Production.
Emma has been awarded prizes at various competitions and festivals including first place in Thursday Musical’s 2021 Vocal College Divison, first place in Thursday Musical's 2022 Advanced College Vocal Division, and first place in Schubert Club's Level I Vocal Divison. Most recently, Emma won first place in the 4th Year Upper College Division for MN NATS.
Emma has performed in various musical productions at her school including Bright Star as Mama Murphy and The Marvelous Wonderettes as Missy. She recently finished an opera production entitled “Mozart Miniatures: A Scenes Program” where she performed scenes from Le nozze di Figaro and The Magic Flute as the Countess and Pamina. In addition to her studies in opera, she has also been coached in musical theater by Broadway’s Karen Burthwright and Coco Cohn.
Her future goals are to pursue a master’s degree in Vocal Performance; compete nationally; and perform in various opera productions, concert works, and recitals. She hopes to eventually obtain a professorial position at a school in the United States.
