Bio
My name is Maya Samone and I’m a junior at The John Carroll School. My overall grade point average is 4.2. I’m currently at John Carroll School in pursuit of Fine Arts Diploma with Distinction (FADD) in music. I’m an active member of the honor society, the Tri - C music honor society, International Thespian Society and the Spanish Honor society. I keep myself active by participating in a variety of school activities from volleyball in my freshman and sophomore year to embarking on a new passion for jazz music and musical theater. I participate in several different community service projects within my community which range from helping young students in a local elementary school with fun educational after school activities to assisting with multiple donation collections for a local family domestic violence facility. Once I graduate from high school, I plan to attend college and focus my studies toward vocal performance, Jazz studies and musical theater. I know there will be several valleys and peaks during my musical journey, but I continue to live by the motivating quote by Confucius, “ Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in getting up every time we do.”
