Bio

Baritone Keaton Brown is a versatile artist who has experience singing repertoire ranging from the baroque era to new music. He is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where this year, he will be seen in a variety of roles including Bluff in The Impresario, Frank in Die Fledermaus, and Emireno in Ottone. In the summer of 2021, Keaton will be seen the world premiere of Gordon Getty’s new opera Goodbye Mr. Chips at the Festival Napa Valley. In January 2019, he worked with Merola Opera Program and sang in the workshop performance of Jake Heggie’s newest opera, If I Were You. Keaton has also been seen with San Francisco Conservatory of Music in conjunction with the San Francisco Opera Education Department as Peter in Hansel and Gretel. Previous roles at the conservatory include Matt in The Fantasticks, Tiger Brown in The Threepenny Opera, Barbu in Les Mamelles de Tiresais. Additionally, Keaton has performed Die Musikleherer in Ariadne auf Naxos with Utah Vocal Arts Academy and Ariodate in Serse with Oberlin in Italy. Originally from Houston, Texas, Keaton was a member of Houston Grand Opera’s High School Voice Studio. He currently studies with mezzo-soprano Susanne Mentzer.
