Charles Sciascia, tenor, is a graduate of Florida State University with a BA in Italian and a minor in voice studies. He has recently performed a set of concerts as the tenor soloist of Handel’s Messiah with the Panama City Pops as well as the Vain Man and the Snake in Sherrill Milnes’s Savannah Voice Festival production of The Little Prince by Rachel Portman. Other roles include Ferrando in a FSU Middle School outreach English reduction of W.A. Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Beppe in Gaetano Donizetti’s Rita, Oronte from G.F. Handel’s Alcina and the third act of title role of Jules Massenet’s Werther. He has also sung in master classes led by renowned baritones Sherrill Milnes and Thomas Hampson, noted Italian vocal coach Enza Ferrari and private coachings with distinguished bel canto tenor Chris Merritt. Charles will be pursuing a Masters degree in Voice Performance at the Florida State University under the tutelage of Bass-Baritone and Voice Pedagogue Prof. David Okerlund.
