My name is Karla Veronica Delgado. I am a professional Mexican-Ecuadorian vocalist based out of Anaheim, California. I received my BM at the University of California, Irvine, where I trained in classical vocal performance under Dr. Darryl Taylor. I also have an MA in Education and have been teaching music for over 7 years, offering private lessons in voice, piano, and music theory, to students of every age from toddlers to adults, including students with disabilities. Additionally, I have conducted and written original musical arrangments for various choirs, including a cappella, children's, and adult SATB choirs. I have experience performing in many genres, including musical theater, pop, mariachi, choral, opera, and more.
Currently, I have decided to focus more of my attention on developing my skills as a soloist. I am pursuing a career in Opera and Musical Theater performance. After years of professional choral singing, it has been challenging to return to solo perfomance, but also incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. I am excited for the possibilities that lie ahead.
Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember. It is a vital part of my life and a prominent part of my past, present, and hopefully, my future. Being able to share my passion with my students, and being able to inspire them to discover and nurture their own talents and love of music is truly a gift. I hope that my music continues to inspire new generations of artists, whether it's in the classroom or on the stage.
