Born on Réunion Island, Jessica Morel moved to Metropolitan, France to continue her studies in lyric singing at the Salva Voce International Institut. At the same time, she studied Musicology at the Sorbonne University where she received a teaching diploma. She continued exploring her singing in courses with Sylvia Kevorkian, Jory Vinikour, a coach at the Garnier and Bastille Opera Houses in Paris, Bernadette Mercier and Jean-Pierre Furlan.

In order to expand her experience in other musical styles, Ms Morel attended training courses and master classes in France and abroad, (François Daudet, Bernard Mathern, and Achille Lampo) where she received different diplomas from Accademia Lorenzo Perosi, Biella and Académie Internationale d’Eté de Nice.

Jessica Morel is also a Prizewinner from several competitions : Maîtres du Chant Français, Concours International de l’Union des Femmes Artistes Musiciennes, Léopold Bellan-Paris, Concours Européen de Musique de Picardie and Torneo Internationale Di Musica.

She has performed recitals in various cities including Biella Academy (Italy), Cité international de Paris, the Porticcio Theatre (Corse), the Fontainebleau Castle, St Père Blanay Church, Bussy-Rabutin Castle (Bourgogne), Hosanna Tampon Church (Réunion) and Habanna and Swan in Paris.

Her oratorio repertoire includes La Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini, which she performed at Ris-orangis Church and Athis-Mons Church, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, performed at Val de Grâce Church and also Les Vêpres d’un confesseur by Mozart and Bach’s Magnificat in Madeleine Church.

Her large repertoire also includes the baroque including composers such as Pergolesi, Händel, Vivaldi and contemporary works by Gershwin, Floyd and Hermann. She enjoys exploring the works of Mozart, Beethoven, Puccini, Verdi, Gounod, Massenet and Dvorak as well.

Roles that she has performed on the stage include the part of Lucrèce in an adaption of Lucrèce, Liù in Turandot (Puccini) at the Theatre of l’Acting and Mimi in La Bohème (Puccini), Manon (Massenet), and Micaëla in Carmen (G.Bizet) at the Theater Vissi d’Arte and at Waterloo Theater in Belgium. She has interpreted Belinda in Didon and Enée by Purcell during the Open Door Day at the Massy Theater, Antonia in The Tales of Hoffmann by Offenbach in Lyon, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart on Reunion Island and Norina in Don Pasquale by Donizetti. She will also sing the roles of Marguerite in Le petit faust by Hervé ( Festival d’Angée), of Cupidon in Orphée aux enfers by Offenbach ( Festival d’Andée), Requiem of Brahms (Ollioules), in Die Zauberflöte by Mozart: the role of the second lady (Festival d'Andée) and Pamina. (Theater von Naples -Paris), three role at Grosser Saal/München: Woglinde -Das Rheingold-Wagner; Sophie-Werther-Massenet, Katherina-Der Widerspenstigen Zähmung-Goetz. Her future engagements are Fancuille in Turandot of Puccini, Minnie in Fledermaus of Strauss, Operngala and Liederabend at Immling's Festival, two creation Creolettes of Paris (Réunion) and Couleur et Résonnances (France).
