Meghna Das

Meghna Das, 16, from Edison, NJ, has been studying music since she was 3, including classical, jazz, Indian classical voice, broadway, guitar and piano. She attends Pre-college at Manhattan School of Music for classical voice and musical theater. Since 2015, she has performed with CJMEA Regions, ACDA All State and All Eastern, NJMEA All State, and ACDA National choirs. She was a member of her high school jazz band on vocals and guitar and is a member of her school Chamber Choir. She is passionate about musical theater and has performed lead roles in productions at her school and NJ School of Dramatic Arts. She won 2nd place in the 2018 NJ Shout Down Drugs songwriting contest, 1st in the 2019 NATS NJ Doris Lenz competition, and 1st place in the 2020 NATS NY. She was recognized as a semi-finalist for the 2020 Hal Leonard vocal competition in the musical theater category. She also received the Merit Winner award for songwriting in the 2019 YoungArts Competition. Meghna performs in benefit concerts to raise funds for noble causes and spreads the message of love, hope and humanity through music.
