Lissette Garrido

This is Lissette's second time participating in the CS Music Vocal Competition and she couldn't be more excited! She is currently a senior at UC Irvine and is planning on receiving a bachelors in Drama with an emphasis in musical theatre. Prior to attending UCI she was at Citrus College where she was part of the Citrus Singers program for three years. During this time she traveled to Germany for a classical tour, China for a Broadway review tour, and New York City where she performed off Broadway. Lissette was also the dance captain her third year in the group and got the chance to choreograph many shows during the year, including their annual show "Christmas Is..." where she also had the privilege of being the lead. Through the process of her three years there she also received an associates degree in music.

Some of her favorite credits include: Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Erzulie in Once on this Island, and Kira in Xanadu. She plans on continuing musical theatre professionally after college. Lissette's main goal in life is not just to achieve her goal of being on Broadway one day but to make other people happy by doing what she loves to do.
