Emmie is a dedicated vocalist who discovered her passion for singing from a very young age, commencing her formal vocal training at the prestigious Yamaha Music School at the age of 8. With an extensive background in on-stage performances, she has consistently showcased her talents in various settings.
Emmie's impressive journey in the realm of music includes notable appearances in the Wayland public schools, where she actively participated in productions such as the musical "Seussical" and graced the stage in numerous recitals and public performances under the guidance of Yamaha Music School and private instruction.
Notably, since 2016, Emmie has been a regular performer in the illustrious Boston Charity Concert, which seeks to raise funds in support of nonprofit organizations throughout the Greater Boston Community. Her involvement in this event places her in the company of accomplished amateurs and seasoned professionals, a testament to her talent.
At the tender age of 10, Emmie auditioned and was selected as a member of the esteemed Boston Symphony Children’s Chorus, conducted by James Burton, who also leads the Tanglewood Chorus. Her membership in this chorus has opened doors to remarkable opportunities, including multiple live performances at prestigious venues such as Boston Symphony Hall, where she has shared the stage with the Boston Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Andris Nelsons, and the Boston Pops, including the celebrated Holiday Pops with conductor Keith Lockhart. She has also graced the Tanglewood Summer Festival stage, collaborating with renowned artists. In 2019, Emmie took part in a professional presentation of "Pagliacci" with the Boston Lyric Opera, showcasing her versatility.
Throughout her school years, Emmie actively engaged in various musical endeavors, joining choruses at Wayland elementary and middle schools. Notably, she earned the distinction of being selected as a Wayland MMEA-ED Junior District Festival member in her 7th and 8th grades. In addition to her vocal talents, Emmie is a versatile musician, contributing her skills to the school orchestra as a violinist in elementary school and playing the trumpet in both elementary and middle schools.
Emmie's journey continued to evolve as she transitioned into high school, where her talent shone brightly. As a high school freshman, she was chosen as a Senior District Festival member and became a valuable member of the Acapella Group at Wayland High School.
In August 2022, Emmie embarked on a new chapter in her musical education, joining the distinguished Walnut Hill School for the Arts as a voice major. Her dedication and commitment to her craft have been evident through her participation in numerous competitions, culminating in her recent achievement of winning first prize in NATS Boston and third prize in Schmidt Vocal Arts Regional competition. Emmie's passion for music, her rich performance history, and her ongoing success are a testament to her unwavering commitment to the world of vocal arts.
