Heather Sreves
(Madame Lidoine, the new Prioress- Soprano)
Heather Sreves, Jugendlich-Dramatisch- Soprano, is a native Virginian. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory. She has sung with Virginia Opera for many years in a number of productions as well as performing with The Amici Opera and Pacific Opera. Among her roles have been: Ortlinde, in Die Walküre, Grimgerde, in Die Walküre, Marchese Poggio, in Un Giorno di Regno, Marcellina, Cherubino, in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina, in Don Giovanni, Micaela, in Carmen, Gerhilde cover, in Die Walküre and Annina cover, in La Traviata. She has sung Hansel in Hansel and Gretel for Virginia Opera’s Spectrum Resident Program, as well as the Stepmother in Cinderella, “mother, grandmother,” in Little Red Riding Hood, Dona Carla, in the World Premiere Opera, The Birthday of the Infanta, at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. She was a semi-finalist in Shreveport Opera’s Singer of the Year Competition. Her concert and solo career has led her singing in the States as well as Europe. Some highlights have been: The Vatican in Rome, Italy, The White House, during President Ronald Reagan’s term, and Soloist in Carissimi’s Yephte, with the Dunbarton Concert Series, WETA radio in Washington D.C. as well as the Europäische Kirchenmüsik, Schwäbish Gmundt. She has also performed in several Summer Opera Programs such as: Den Norske Opera, Lidal North, Seagle Music Colony and The International Opera Academy of Rome, Italy.
