Christian Benske

My name is Christian Benske, I am first chair as a bassist in Homestead High schools Chamber orchestra. As a freshman, I struggled with bass and more focused on goofing off. Throughout the year my teacher saw something in me and pushed me. From a class C solo freshman I performed class A sophomore year receiving a 2 score. That wasn’t enough for me so I kept pushing and then somehow I landed as the principal bassist for my orchestra. I played a class A and got a 1 Star in 2020. I love playing bass as it’s a way to make music and to come together with people and have fun. I will continue to strive and get better every year.
