Ljuban Živanović, Tenor, was born in Serbia and
graduated from the Mannheim University of Music
and Performing Arts in Germany in 2017.
He participated in master classes of and worked with
Nelly Miricioiu, Virgilius Noreika, Anna-Maria Dur,
Douglas Yates, Sergey Aleksashkin and Vladislav
Piavko. During his studies, he was a scholar of the
Life Music Now Foundation Heidelberg, Germany. For
15 years his mentor was KS Biserka Cvejic, former
soloist of the Wiener Staatsoper.
Ljuban sang at the Opera Frankfurt, Belgrade opera,
Stadttheater Bremerhaven, Theater Baden-Baden,
Sankt Petersburg Opera, Chamber opera Hamburg,
Young Music Theater Hamburg, Theater
Ludwigshafen, Theater Neustadt and at the
Opernstudio at Mannheim University of Music and
Performing Arts.
His repertoire includes: Alfredo (La Traviata), Duke of
Mantua (Rigoletto), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly),
Tamino (The Magic Flute), Ruggero (La Rondine),
Lenski (Eugen Onegin), Faust (Faust), Werther
(Werther), Don Jose (Carmen), Don Ramiro (La
Cenerentola), Alberto (La Gazzetta), Camille du
Rosillon (The Marry Widow), Selim (Adina), Boni (Die
Csardasfürstin), Spalanzani (the Tales of Hoffmann).
In August 2019, Ljuban won the prize for the best male voice at the MOA Montecatini Opera
Academy Competition in Italy. He won six times the first price at the National singing competition
in his home country.
As a concert singer he performed in Germany, Italy, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and
Herzegovina and gave a recital at the Heidelberger Frühling Festival in Heidelberg, Germany.
