Bio

Aziza Poggi is a Classically trained Mezzo-soprano and cross-over artist from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is a versatile singer who sings classical, contemporary, rock, oriental, and musical theater. Aziza has been hired as a recording artist for multiple styles of music projects and hired as a singer for radio jingles. In November 2023, Aziza performed her own classical recital at a sold-out house featuring other local classically trained singers and artists. Then in early 2024, she joined the West Michigan Opera Project in the choir and as a soloist. She also has been hired to sing in private weddings as a contemporary and classical singer.

Aziza also has toured the country and in Europe at the Metal Female Voices Festival (as a soloist and with her symphonic rock band Aria Flame) and Femme Festival in Eindhoven (which headlined Lacuna Coil), along with performing at classical recitals and concerts. Her band, Aria Flame, also worked with Grammy Producer Neil Kernon, and her previous group, Dendura was hired to place music in a Comedy Central mini-series cartoon.

Aziza is expanding her music and education knowledge at Berklee College of Music, where she was on the Dean's list from 2020-2022 and then again in 2024.

Formerly, she was an Honors student for Classical Voice at Grand Rapids Community College. Aziza currently trains with Master Opera Coach and Instructor Nicholas Loren. Aziza is also a singing instructor for beginners and intermediate students at her private studio and also a perfumer and candlemaker.
