Bio

Hi! My name is Serena Dailey. I was born in Brooklyn N.Y and am 17 years old and a Junior at Edward R. Murrow high school. At Murrow I have been in four shows. This past fall I played Mrs. Higgins in "My Fair Lady" and I would have been a dancer in "Drowsy Chaperone" before the pandemic. My freshman year I played Louisa von Trapp in "Sound Of Music" (for which I was nominated for a National Youth Arts award), and last year as a sophomore I was a Delta Nu in "Legally Blonde" and part of the Nurse Ensemble in "South Pacific." In middle school I was in three shows: I played Babette in "Beauty and the Beast", Dorothy in "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and Ariel in "The Little Mermaid."

I started dancing when I was 6 years old and joined a competitive dance team when I was 8 years old and danced with them for three years. I also studied ballroom dance for three years at Brooklyn DanceSport. This year I was invited to perform at the Arthur Miller Foundation Gala, directed by Sasha Hutchings, to benefit the arts in New York City public schools.

I'm looking forward to auditioning for musical theatre and vocal performance college programs next year for attendance in the Fall of 2021!
