Bio

Gaby Poplawski is a graduate of Walter Payton College Prep, Chicago, IL, and a rising Freshman at Pomona College, Claremont, CA. She began taking voice and piano lessons at the age of 6, and joined the Chicago Children’s Choir when she was 9 years old, moving up to VOC, the choir’s top-performing ensemble at age 12. She speaks four languages fluently (Polish, English, Spanish, and French), plus some Italian, and sings in many more. With performance experience from the Lyric Opera children’s chorus (Tosca, La Bohéme) to backup for Grammy-award-winning Chance the Rapper (Magnificent Coloring Tour, Coloring Book), Gaby is versatile in classical, musical theater, and popular styles. She also writes, produces, and performs her own original music under the stage name Silvi. Her current voice teacher is Michelle Hackman.
