Matthew Marano, tenor, has been singing with Taconic Opera since 2020. He most recently appeared as Bacchus in Ariadne auf Naxos. Before that he has appeared Taconic Operas productions of Manon by Massenet, Manon Lescaut by Puccini, and La Traviata by Verdi. He has also appeared with the New York Opera Conservatory in the lead roles of Norma, Lucia di Lammermoor, Pearl Fishers, Don Giovanni, La Traviata, Il Tabarro, Tosca, and Elixer of Love.
Matthew graduted from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. There he appeared in Kurt Weil's Street Scene, Verdi's La Traviata, and Mozart's Clemenza di tito.
Mr. Marano will be appearing in the Tenor solos of Mozarts Requiem in March of 2024 at the Holy name of Mary Church in Coton and in the role of Don José in Carmen at Tarrytown music hall in November of 2024. He will also appear in the lead roles of Don Pascuale by Donizetti and Verdi's Il Trovatore with the New York Opera Conservatory in the summer of 2024.
