Deborah Bertling has sung several roles with Opera Santa Barbara and Opera San Luis Obispo. She is a frequent performer all along the central coast of California, appearing in classical concerts, plays, musical theatre, and film. Bertling was honored to be chosen to sing in the world premiere of Stephen Schwartz’s Seance On a Wet Afternoon as a reporter. Recently she played Norma Shearer in Paul Merton’s Birth of Hollywood, a documentary for BBC. Currently she is rehearsing in Ojai as Kate in Sylvia by A.R. Gurney, opening May 20.
