Soprano Ellen Hargis, one of America’s premier early music singers, specializes in repertoire ranging from ballads to opera and oratorio. Her discography of more than 50 recordings includes two Grammy-nominated CDs for Best Opera. She teaches voice at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, is artist-inresidence with the Newberry Consort at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University, and teaches the annual Vancouver Baroque Vocal Programme: The Compleat Singer each August.
