Fadlou Shehadi, baritone, is a graduate of the Institut de Musique in Beirut, Lebanon, an affiliate of the Ecole Normale de Paris. He has given numerous German and French art song recitals in Lebanon, Canada, the United States and France. Mr. Shehadi, a Ph.D. from Princeton, is also an Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University. For the past 10 years, Mr. Shehadi has been president of the Board of Directors of Joy In Singing, a non-profit organization founded in 1958. During his tenure, Joy In Singing has been an advocate of the art song recital, has helped launch the careers of many singers, and helped give American composers a chance to be heard. www.joyinsinging.org
