Dr. Ruth Christensen is a mezzo soprano who has sung and worked at professional venues throughout the United States, more particularly in the Midwest (Michigan Opera, Cincinnati Opera) and southwest (Phoenix Symphony) while completing her graduate degrees in vocal performance at Arizona State University and lastly, at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Voice at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and has just completed her two-year tenure as president of NATS—Southern Utah Chapter.
