Soprano Toni Crowder’s recent performance of Mendelssohn duets, with international soprano Lucy Shelton, will soon be heard on National Public Radio’s Performance Today. Crowder, whose voice the Washington Post described as possessing “vigor and excitement,” was selected in 2001 as a semi-finalist in the Marjorie Lawrence International Vocal Competition. She holds a master’s degree in vocal performance/pedagogy from Texas Christian University, and a bachelor’s degree in music therapy/ music education from Henderson State University.
