While stepping onto the Metropolitan Opera’s stage as Siegfried in 2011 certainly did catapult tenor Jay Hunter Morris into the spotlight, he is hardly an overnight success. after years of study, struggle, and downright hard work, He Now has a busy schedule of bookings well into 2017 and this native Texan says he is having the time of his life. CS caught up with Morris just before his opening as Paul in Die tote Stadt with Dallas Opera to learn more about his journey from paris, texas to a burgeoning operatic career, and how he makes it all work while remaining a dedicated family man.
