Tenor John Grau is a celebrated performer of oratorio and opera spanning from Baroque to 20th-century repertoire. His interpretations of J.S. Bach's music have garnered praise, particularly with the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park. Dr. Grau has recently appeared as tenor soloist in works such as Bach's B-minor Mass, the evangelist in Bach's and St. John Passion and St. Matthew Passion, Handel's Messiah, Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610, and Mendelssohn's Elijah. Holding degrees from St. Olaf College, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Minnesota, Dr. Grau chairs the Department of Music at Rollins College.
