Presenter
Dr. Robert Brandt is associate professor of voice at Brigham Young University where he serves as the classical voice division coordinator. In addition to his private studio at BYU, he also teaches vocal literature and French diction classes. Dr. Brandt has extensive performance experience performing operatic roles and soloing in concert settings. His passion is performing Art Song recitals. He has performed guest recitals around the world with world class pianists including Roger Vignoles, Michale Schütze, and Thomas Grubb. He won the Pierre Bernac Prize for French Song at the 2014 Mary Trueman Art Song competition in New York City. Graduates from Dr. Brandt's vocal studio have won major competitions and are pursuing successful operatic careers. Others have pursued academic teaching and hold full-time University positions, have pursued successful choral singing and musical theater careers, or have become involved in arts administration. Whatever career goals a student is pursuing, Dr. Brandt delights in giving students a firm technical foundation and helping them maximize their vocal talent.
