Estelí Gomez, soprano, serves as associate professor at Lawrence Conservatory of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin. As a founding member of multi-GRAMMY-winning vocal octet Roomful of Teeth, she has performed at the GRAMMYs, Carnegie Hall, throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, and with major symphonies around the world as a soloist and chamber musician. She can be heard on the soundtracks for Ken Burns’ 2024 documentary on Leonardo da Vinci, Lena Dunham and Carter Burwell’s 2022 film Catherine Called Birdy, and Seattle Symphony’s 2017 release of Nielsen’s Symphony No. 3. She holds degrees from Yale and McGill Universities, recently published Historical Performance and New Music: Aesthetics and Practices as co-editor and author, and loves teaching both studio voice and a course she designed at Lawrence called “How to Practice.”
