Presenter

Mira Yang

Dr. Mira Yang is the Artistic Director for the AAMS workshops at the Kennedy Center and at Todi, Italy. She is professor of voice at George Mason University and a member of the Kennedy Center Community Advisory Board. She taught at American University and at Catholic University of America. She earned a D.M.A., Catholic University of America, M. M. from Peabody Conservatory, and B.M. from Ewha University. She studied at Der Hochschule Mozarteum in Salzburg; Altenburg Academy in Germany; Societa dei Concerti in Italy. She has performed in Europe and Asia; at the Lincoln Center, Alice Tully Hall; San Francisco Concerti Orchestra; Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall; Kennedy Center, Terrace Theater; and the White House Christmas Concert. She worked with the Washington Opera, the Washington Concert Opera, and Pala Association for musical theater repertoires. She appeared in many leading roles with regional opera companies including the title role of the opera “Lang Ying” at the Kennedy Center.
