Description
The AMERICAN BACH ACADEMY is a tuition-free advanced training program exclusively for emerging professionals and highly accomplished students of Historically Informed Performance Practice.
The 2025 ABS Academy will offer studies in period instrument violin, viola, violoncello, viola da gamba, violone & contrabass, harpsichord, and voice.
Admission to the Academy is by competitive audio/video auditions and written applications.
15–17 musicians will be admitted to the 2025 Academy.
5–6 violinists & violists • 2–3 'cellists & viola da gambists • 1 contrabassist (or violone)
2–3 harpsichordists • 4 vocalists
