The School of Music at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Voice to start August 1, 2025. We seek an artist/teacher with experience working with students from diverse musical, social, and cultural backgrounds. The ideal candidate is a highly accomplished and versatile musician-teacher dedicated to access and excellence for all students. They will be a skilled and successful teacher of undergraduate and graduate students and will fulfill duties and responsibilities commensurate with academic positions at a leading institution. The successful candidate will teach studio voice lessons in a variety of styles and genres, including but not limited to art song, opera, popular music, commercial/contemporary music, musical theatre, gospel, and/or jazz. As a member of the School of Music faculty, the Assistant Professor of Voice will contribute to ongoing equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives in the school.
Minimum Qualifications
* Master of Music degree
* Significant performance experience in a variety of genres and musical styles
* Experience teaching voice at the undergraduate level
* Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a team member at UNCG.
