HUB CITY OPERA AND DANCE AUDITIONS FOR DOUBLE BILL MARCH 29 and 30 2025

We are currently accepting audition materials until November 13, 2024 for our March 2025 production of Bon Appetit! and The Cook-Off.

Current roles::

Julia Child - Mezzo soprano or Dramatic Soprano with strong acting and comedic skills (can be a double role with Beryl Bennett).

Kenny Kincaid. Baritone. (higher tessitura, lyric) 25-30 years old. Cooking Show Host.

Beryl Bennett. Mezzo-soprano (dramatic or lyric). 65 years old. Scottish. Guest Judge. International food critic and writer. Doyenne with attitude.

Kendra Smith. Mezzo soprano (lyric). 38–40 years old. African-American. Contestant. Blunt, bright, funny and kind.

Álvaro Mendez. Tenor (lyric). 30–33 years old. Latino. Contestant. Nervous, endearing, and shy.

WHERE TO EMAIL MATERIALS: Please send resume, headshot and 2 video samples of two contrasting arias in English to hubcityopera@gmail.com. One aria should demonstrate comedic and strong acting ability. We will send you a notice for in-person auditions that will be held November 16, 2024 between 4 and 8 pm EDT. Thank you.
