Catilena, A Womens Chorale

Catilena, A Womens Chorale is holding spring auditions, Jan 13 and 20, 2025 at 7:30.

They take place after Monday's Open Rehearsal at First Parish Unitarian Universalist of Arlington; 630 Massachusetts Ave; Arlington, MA at the beginning of each semester - September and January.

Our process is friendly and low stress. Auditions take approximately 15 minutes and consist of vocalization, pitch-matching, and sight-reading exercises. Singers may sing "My Country T'is of Thee" or prepare a song of their choice to demonstrate vocal quality, technique, and musicality. This song need not be a formal aria or art song: it can be a simple hymn or folk song. It will be performed without accompaniment as our accompanist will not be present.

Auditionees will be invited to sing in a rehearsal with the group. Invitations for membership will be extended based on the results of both the audition and rehearsal.
