Finger Lakes Opera Young Artist Program

The Young Artist Studio Program prepares the young professional for the transition from training programs to getting hired. This program aims to support the emerging artist in their musicianship, stagecraft, and preparation, and to develop their artistic voice as a collaborative artist.

Participants will benefit from:

- multiple performing opportunities

- an individualized and participant-centered approach to developing talented singers in career preparation

- extensive learning opportunities balancing practical instruction, performance training, as well as one-on-one instruction and coaching

- regular vocal coachings and masterclasses, as well as training in choreography and stage movement

- access to FLO artistic staff for career development and mentorship

The Young Artist Program aims to create a safe space in the studio for growth and discovery of the emerging opera artist. We believe that this is an important step in career development. Artists are encouraged to develop their individual voice in the rehearsal room and in collaboration with their colleagues.
