The Beethoven Society of Melrose

“Almost Carnegie Hall” is an exciting high school music competition for high school seniors sponsored by the Beethoven Society of Melrose. This is a great opportunity to hear classical music performed by extremely talented high school musicians. Grand Prize is $1,000!

Any high school senior graduating in the year 2025 who has aspired to and accomplished an advanced command of a musical instrument or voice may apply. This is not limited to only Massachusetts applicants. An applications must be completely filled out and submitted electronically through BSM's website by Friday, February 21, 2025. Contestants must submit a video of themselves performing two separate and contrasting musical compositions. Please provide your video audition submissions through a link to YouTube, Google Drive or one that can be publicly accessed.

Applicants must submit a written recommendation by a private music instructor, a high school music teacher, church music director or a musical professional who is familiar with the applicant’s musical abilities and level of commitment.

Applicants must compete in person on Saturday, March 22nd (Snow Date: Saturday, March 29th) in Melrose, Massachusetts if they are chosen as a finalist.
