The Department of Performing & Visual Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is looking for a dynamic full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Music/Voice Area Coordinator with an anticipated start date of August 2025. Responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate courses, research and scholarly activity, and university and departmental service. Candidates with experience teaching vocal pedagogy and applied voice as well as experience maintaining a voice studio are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
* Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) or Doctor of Music (DM) in Vocal Performance or Vocal Pedagogy. An ABD (all but dissertation), if hired, would be contractually obligated to have earned their DMA or DM by August 1, 2026.
* Minimum one year experience teaching undergraduate courses/lessons as an instructor.
* Ability to teach undergraduate courses in Music with an emphasis in Voice.
* A strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education in a liberal arts environment and a willingness to collaborate with both students and faculty.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
